Today is the last Thursday and last day of 2009!
When I signed into Facebook this morning I was shocked to see how many people were stating they were happy 2009 was over and how much better 2010 is going to be. IDK I think 2009 was great, with the exception of the 1 million weddings I had to attend(love you friends). I think at the end of every year, people are more willing to blame the year being bad, then they are at trying to accept their own decisions as being bad. The Year is just that. Whatever happens in your life good or bad, it has one connection, You. Your life, your friends, your choices, or your lack of choices. Good or Bad. It’s not 2009’s friends, 2009’s decisions or lack of decisions. It’s a year. A number to help us remember events, or my favorite, a dot on the timeline of our lives & earths existence.
I’m a lame-o I know.
I think everyone hooplah-ing over 2010 being their year were the same ones at the dawn of 20o9 saying 201o was going to be their year and 20o8 sucked. 08 hate I believe it was called by a few. lol It’s true every year we try to start it off the way we feel is right, and I say good for everyone, but it doesn’t matter what year we are in. It matters what kind of people we are. How we treat each other. So to the people who believe a new year alone, will bring change to their lives, I hope it does! If it doesn’t don’t be discouraged, work on yourself, stay positive, and try to become more of who you want to be. Every Year should be great and the dawning of a new one should bring excitement to grow and add more wonderful events to our lives. If the bad happens, then it happens, and we must grow with it and change with it. You have to experience life to live it, all of it.
“Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.”
-Louis Hector Berlioz
I love that quote, and I’m done making a fool of myself being preachy lol
On to a little change of topic.
Chris and I attended the rehearsal dinner yesterday for the new years eve wedding, and I was surprised at how much fun I was having. I think it has to do with my friend being in attendance. Yay for me. I think I have a new outlook on the whole event. I’m going to stay positive the whole night, enjoy the New Year, and have some much-needed fun! I really hope they enjoy each other for their lifetime. Cheers
Happy New Years Eve Wedding Day
